The credit card sized RFID tag that delivers environmental monitoring
 
The AEM-1000 is a “Smart” RFID tag that brings environmental monitoring functions to conventional RFID tracking and identification. These environmental monitors are stored with time/date stamps in internal non-volatile memory. This self-contained, small design allows for a unique and powerful view of your environment; Non-intrusive, Autonomous Environmental Monitoring.
 
The size of a typical credit card, the AEM-1000 contains an expansive array of environmental monitoring and data storage functionality. Small enough to be applied as a label on shipping package or installed inside a product’s electronic housings (e.g., portable computer housing) without disturbing airflow, weight or heat dissipation.
 
The environmental monitoring features of the AEM-1000 provide a new perspective on products in use, in transport or in storage. While fragile or perishable items particularly benefit from this environmental monitoring, there are numerous other applications. Manufacturing equipment monitoring, for example, can prevent factory shutdowns through early detections of equipment issues.
 
The design of the AEM-1000 allows for data to be continuously collected and stored (onboard) while still maintaining vigilance over the surrounding environment. Stored data can be transmitted by RFID technology, without removal of the tag. This autonomous function allows the AEM-1000 to be used in a warehouse, aircraft, truck or rail car. Security and tracking are additional values from the AEM-1000. All of these features helps you answer the questions, “Where is my product? How long has it been there? What environment has it been in? Has it been tampered with?
 
Each AEM-1000 can be used over and over, in different situations, with different measurements. Very customizable with multiple programmable features; like delayed start, high and low thresholds. Setup and data retrieval is easily accomplished through radio frequency (RF) links.
